PZ PGH Learning and Thinking that Make a Difference (May 2026) has ended

While designing units to meet curriculum goals is essential for schoolwide consistency, even the best-laid plans can sometimes feel like "work for work’s sake" to our students. To move beyond mere compliance, we must shift our focus from implementing programs to creating genuine learning opportunities. This session explores the design of powerful thinking opportunities in the classroom. We will identify specific "thinking moves" that drive understanding and examine the structure of lessons that prioritize deep engagement over task completion.
