About me
Gretchen Monahan is a first-grade teacher at Avalon Elementary in the Northgate School District with over 30 years of experience teaching K–8 reading and classroom instruction. Her extensive background working with diverse learners has shaped her flexible, responsive teaching approach. Gretchen recently attended the Cultures of Thinking Summit in San Diego, California, where she enhanced her instructional techniques and strengthened her practice in fostering student thinking and engagement.
